that's just mean...but funny
When a rookie comes to an artillery unit we always send him after a bucket of "Muzzle Blast" or a coil of the "firing line". Once upon a time there was a National Guard Unit with one flat tire in the convoy. The unit commander sent the rest of the trucks ahead and stayed with the crew to change the tire. Whe they were finished, they realized the ditch was so soggy that they needed a chain to pull it out. The unit commander went to the maintenance truck and grabbed a chain. he was pulling it over to the front of the truck when, Lo and Behold the Battalion Commander drove up in his jeep. He took one look at the Captain and said, "Brown, why are you down in that ditch pulling that chain?" Cpt Brown looked up and said, "Shit Colonel, did you ever try to push one of the som'bitches?" The Colonel had his driver go on and from the weaving of the jeep you could tell they both thought the response was about as funny as they could stand. Dennis
